Dal 21 al 25 Aprile 2016 quarta edizione del Moscato Tap&Jazz Fest Milano sarà la mecca della Tap Dance e della musica Jazz
Il “Moscato Tap&Jazz Fest” nasce dalla passione di Erminia Moscato, fondatrice di MoscatoTapMilano, per la tap dance e grande novità di quest'anno il connubio con la musica jazz, un punto di incontro per tutti tappers e jazzisti. Per alcuni giorni, Milano si trasforma nel fulcro vitale della tap dance e della musica jazz con i migliori ballerini e musicisti del mondo. Il Moscato Tap&Jazz Fest è un’occasione preziosa, in Italia, per poter studiare e per poter assistere alle esibizioni degli artisti di tale calibro.
Giunto alla quarta edizione quest’anno il Moscato Tap&Jazz Fest rientra a Milano, sua sede naturale e ospiterà varie attività, dalle classi, dibattiti, esibizioni, jam-session e gala. Dalle 10 del mattino alle 19 di sera, le lezioni copriranno tutti i livelli e stili: dal beginner al professional, dal broadway all’hoofer style. Le lezioni sono accompagnate esclusivamente da musica dal vivo, caratteristica che rende originale e unico al mondo il Moscato Tap&Jazz Fest. Inoltre saranno organizzate lezioni di solfeggio ritmico, hear training, canto corale, master class con professionisti jazz, lezione individuale di canto o strumento e spazio live. Oltre ai corsi giornalieri, ogni sera ci saranno eventi dedicati al mondo della tap dance e della musica jazz.
Le serate prevedono: TAP&JAZZ JAM: si ricrea il sogno che negli anni ’20 e ’30 incantava gli ospiti del Cotton Club di New York. La tap jam è il ritrovo di musicisti e tap dancers che hanno così l’opportunità di provare nuovo materiale e mettere alla prova la loro abilità di improvvisatori. Spesso si trasformano in vere e proprie competizioni tra virtuosi e gli spettatori sono avvolti da una magia suprema tra maestria e sperimentazione.
CHALLENGE e STUDENTS SHOWCASE: Challenge, sfida a suon di claquettes, ognuno è libero di esprimere la propria personalità ed il proprio stile. Durante lo students showcase chiunque potrà esibirsi per essere valutato dai maestri. Challenge e students Showcase sono a numero chiuso e l'iscrizione è obbligatoria. Nella serata verranno assegnate delle borse di studio agli studenti scelti tra tutti i partecipanti del festival. L’apice del festival viene raggiunto il sabato sera con il MOSCATO TAP&JAZZ FEST GALA, un gala che propone il concerto degli ospiti jazz con l'avvicendarsi sul palco dei maestri tappers invitati al festival, il tutto categoricamente dal vivo. Durante il gala, inoltre, si assegnerà il prestigioso “Golden Heel Award”, premio al miglior studente. È l'unica opportunità, in Italia per veder esibirsi i big della tap dance sulle note delle star del jazz. Dal 21 al 25 Aprile 2016 il Moscato Tap&Jazz Fest trasformerà Milano nella mecca italiana della tap dance e della jazz music. Come se non bastasse, la peculiarità e un'altra grande novità di quest’anno prevede che MoscatoTapMilano produrrà uno spettacolo teatrale voluto Da Erminia Moscato, con le sue coreografie e la messa in scena e la regia di Oscar Pozzana. Stiamo individuando il teatro milanese, dove verrà presentata la prima nazionale dello spettacolo che sarà poi distribuito nella prossima stagione teatrale 2016/2017. Nello stesso teatro verrà effettuato il gran gala con tutti gli ospiti presenti al festival.

Milan will be the mecca of Tap Dance and Jazz music
"Moscato Tap & Jazz Fest" comes from the passion of Erminia Moscato , founder of Moscato Tap Milano, for tap dance. The big news of this year festival is the union with jazz music, it will be a meeting point for tappers and jazz musicians.
For a few days, Milan will become the fulcrum of tap dance and jazz with the best dancers and musicians in the world.
Moscato Tap & Jazz Fest is a valuable opportunity, in Italy, to study and to be able to watch performances of very important artists.
In its fourth edition, Moscato Tap & Jazz Fest returned to Milan, its natural location and will host various activities: classes, debates, performances, jam sessions and gala.
From 10 am to 19 pm, classes will cover all levels and styles: from beginner to professional, from broadway to hoofer style.
The lessons are accompanied exclusively by live music, a feature that makes the Moscato Tap&Jazz Fest original and unique.
They will also be solfege and hear training lessons, choral singing and jazz master classes with professional musicians but also individual lessons and live space.
In addition to the daily classes, every evening there will be events dedicated to the world of tap dance and jazz music.
The evening events include:
TAP & JAZZ JAM: re-creating the dream of the 20's and 30's that charmed the guests of the Cotton Club in New York. Tap Jam is a meeting place for musicians and tap dancers who gain the opportunity to try out new material and to test their ability to improvise.
Often they turn into real competition between the dancers and the spectators are surrounded by supreme skill and experimentation.
CHALLENGE & STUDENTS SHOWCASE: claquettes challenge, everyone is free to express his personality and his style.
During the students showcases anyone can perform to be evaluated by the master. Places for the challenge and the showcase are limited and registration is require.
During this special night selected students will be awarded with scholarships for national and international tap event
The highlight of the festival is MOSCATO TAP & JAZZ FEST GALA on Saturday evening , a gala featuring jazz guests and the masters of tap invited to the festival, all categorically live.
During the gala the best student will be awarded with the prestigious "Golden Heel Award”.
It is the only opportunity, in Italy, to see the big names of tap dance dancing on the songs played by big names of jazz music.
From 21 to 25 April 2016 the Moscato Tap & Jazz Fest will transform Milan in the Italian mecca of tap dance and jazz music
The other big and exciting news is that Moscato Tap Milano is producing a show, Erminia Moscato willing, with her choreographies and staged and directed by Oscar Pozzana.
We are chosing the Milan theater, where we will present the national premiere of the show which will be distributed in the next theatrical season 2016/2017. In the same theater the gala will take stage.
